Does Anyone Care for Me?

We who live in the early 21st century are facing
all kinds of stress and strain.
Life in this industrial, technological and

computer age is both complex and demanding.
The pressure of work in school,
the office or factory, besets each of us.
Often, we cannot cope with the problem s and
hazards of modern living.
They seem to overwhelm us.
We do not have sufficient physical and spiritual resources
to meet and overcome the vicissitudes
and demands of urban society.
We try to turn to someone for help,
but everyone else seems to be busy
and does not have time for our problems.

NOBODY CARES
We cry out in depair but no one seems to be willing help.
No one seems to care about us in need or in sickness.
Everyone cares only for himself.
Those who have financial means are thirsting for more,
others a re striving to
gain as much as possible for themselves seeks his own gain.
We Begin to feel that no one really cares for us.

It is not surprising to have this experience.
It is true that man naturally tend to care only for himself.
This is because man is a selfish and self-centred person.
He loves only himself;
he does only those things that benefit himself.
More than that,
he will grab as much as possible from others for himself;
he will exploit his fellowmen for his own gain.
This tendency is innate in every individual.
It manifests itself in different forms of covetousness,
aggression, intrigues and crimes,
which we read about daily in our newspapers and magazines.

The Holy Bible refers to this inclination as sin.
Man, by nature, is sinful, according to Scriptures.
Sin makes man selfish; he cares only for himself.
